Welkom op onze website!

Op deze website kan je alles lezen over onze hobby; het houden van amfibieën (pijlgifkikkers) & reptielen (luipaardgekko's). Wat eten ze? Hoe kweek je voedseldieren? Hoe ziet een paludarium/terrarium eruit? Al deze vragen worden vanuit ons eigen standpunt en ervaringen meegedeeld.

Als je start met deze hobby, ben je verantwoordelijk voor het welzijn van je dieren. Deze moeten in de beste omstandigheden verzorgd worden. Lees er zo veel mogelijk over, die basiskennis zal vergissingen en onnodige slachtoffers bij je dieren voorkomen. Boeken, tijdschriften en websites bevatten goede informatie voor beginners. Zorg eerst voor een doelmatig ingericht terrarium en een goede voedselkweek, schaf daarna pas je dieren aan.

Welcome to our website!

On this site you can read all about our hobby; keeping amphibians (poison dart frogs) & reptiles (leopard geckos). What do they eat? How to breed feeder insects? What does a paludarium/terrarium look like? Answers to all of these questions come from our own perspective and experience.

If you take up this hobby, you are responsible for the well-being of your animals. They should be taken care of in the best of circumstances. Read as much about it as possible; this basic knowledge will prevent mistakes and any needless casualties coming from them. Books, magazines and websites provide useful information for beginners. Before getting your animals, you have to make sure that you have a terrarium fit for its purpose and that the cultivation of the feeder insects is up and running.
